Calcium Carbide chemical name is calcium carbide, calcium carbide is an inorganic compound, white crystal, industrial products for the gray black block, the section is purple or gray. It reacts violently with water to form acetylene and release heat. Calcium carbide is an important basic chemical raw material, mainly used to produce acetylene gas. Also used in organic synthesis, oxyacetylene welding, etc. It is also the basic raw material of organic synthetic chemical industry. A series of organic compounds can be synthesized by using Calcium Carbide as raw material, which provides raw materials for industry, agriculture and medicine.
Product Process:
Calcium Carbide (main component CaC2) is prepared by using closed Calcium Carbide furnace production process, mixing quicklime and carbon materials (coke, blue carbon, anthracite, petroleum coke, etc.) in a certain proportion, and reacting in the furnace at a high temperature of 1800-2200℃ by means of arc heat and resistance heat. The reaction formula of calcium carbide is as follows:
CaO+3C=CaC2+CO↑-11.13 kcal
